Stonewall Resort Presents ‘Taste of the Spanish Coast'

Spanish food and wine will be the focal point of Stonewall Resort's 2nd annual Taste of the Spanish Coast at 7 p.m. on Feb. 22, featuring a "tapas" style (small plates) menu accompanied by specially selected Spanish wines.
Chris Steffich, director of food and beverage at Stonewall Resort, said "Food and wine lovers are in for a special evening as our culinary team prepares a cornucopia of tapas style gourmet treats to be paired with Spanish wines chosen by an internationally acclaimed sommelier from Madrid."
Seating is limited and last year's event sold out.
Steffich said the event features a centuries-old Spanish tradition of eating small portions of eclectic foods called "Tapas" accompanied by both red and white wines. He noted that the tradition of Tapas originated in Spain during the 1600s and continues today as a staple of contemporary Spanish cuisine.
The Stonewall culinary team will work with Kysela Pere et Fils (a fine wine importing company) and sommelier Jens Riis from Madrid to prepare a truly special gourmet meal with accompanying Spanish wines as well as live entertainment by a Spanish guitarist.
