After 65 million years the dinosaurs have returned and to Morgantown of all places. The Discover the Dinosaurs event took over Mylan Park this weekend.
It gave children and families a fun way to learn about the history of the creatures and enjoy some dinosaur themed rides.
One of the exhibit visitors, Luke Devault, said he had a blast learning how to pan for fossils and gems.
"It's kind of like mining. You get a big pile of sand, and then you put in a little sifter, and then you put it in the water and sift out all of the shark teeth, embers, rocks and fossils," said Devault.
The exhibit had over 40 moving dinosaurs that came to life with sound and movement. By the push of a button, exhibit goers could control the motion of many of the animatronic dinosaurs.
The exhibit also had a Dino Theater, where educational videos were being played, theme rides, a mini golf course, and face painting.
