Supporters of the Waldo Hotel were hoping to raise enough money for the building's roof and taxes on Saturday night.
The Main Street Café hosted a "Save the Waldo" fundraiser, with a silent auction and music from Ryan Cain and the Ables.
Those who have been fighting to preserve the hotel said they appreciate the support.
"The venue was offered by Tim Gentilozzi for free. Everything here has been donated. So, we're very happy that everybody turned out to support the Waldo Hotel, there's a lot of support in the community for restoring the Waldo Hotel," said Martin Shaffer of the Waldo Hotel Preservation Society.
Organizers were hoping to raise $1,000 to $2,000 from the event. The next fundraiser for the Waldo is an elimination dinner scheduled for March.
