While the cold weather has put many of us in hibernation mode, the Marion County Convention and Visitors Bureau is encouraging you to get outside.
The Marion County CVB passed on some activities you can do around the county during the winter months.
Some of which include bird watching, ice fishing, walks on the many rail trails, and even taking your furry friend to Fido's backyard for some fresh air.
"It's a fenced in area so it's separated for large dogs and small dogs. If you would like to let your dogs get out and run around a little bit and burn off a little bit of energy, and you can get out and walk around too. It would be a good opportunity," said Leisha Elliott, of the Marion County CVB.
You can find more information on those activities on the Marion County CVB mobile app.
The free app is designed to put everything Marion County has to offer right at your fingertips. It provides key information on restaurants, hotels, and a lot more throughout the county.
You can download the app for your iPhone or Android device.
