WVWC AD Randy Tenney Steps Down from Baseball Team for Upcoming Season

Posted: Updated:

West Virginia Wesleyan College Athletic Director and long-time head baseball coach, Randy Tenney, has decided to temporarily step down as head baseball coach for the 2014 season. The reason for this is to work fully with Wesleyan's Vice President of Advancement, Bob Skinner, in efforts to raise money to improve West Virginia Wesleyan College's Athletic Facilities.

The main focus of their mission will be the renovation of Cebe Ross Field which will serve as an eventual home to Football, Lacrosse, Men's and Women's Track & Field, and Men's and Women's Soccer.  He will also be tending to several other needed projects, such as the renovation of the outdoor Tennis Courts, along with new seating for the bottom floor of Rockefeller Center.

To serve as the interim head coach of the 2014 Bobcat Baseball Team will be long-time assistant, Brett Ripley.  Coach Ripley is entering his eighth year with the Bobcats, all under Tenney, who plans to resume as head coach come Fall 2014.
