The Harrison County Sheriff's Department and state police have arrested four people for at least 50 burglaries in four counties.
Sheriff Albert Marano said authorities confiscated dozens of stolen items after tracking the suspects down in Clarksburg on Wednesday. Deputies spotted the suspects' vehicle at Mountaineer Mart in Clarksburg and stopped to investigate.
Nathan Manley, 24, Emilee Farra, 21, and Jonathan Martini, 24, each face burglary, grand larceny, and conspiracy charges. A fourth person, Rocky Parsons, was arrested for a probation violation.
"At this time, we've recovered approximately 40 firearms, most of which are long rifles, several coin and money collections, computer games such as BOXs, televisions, hundreds of pieces of jewelry have been recovered," said Marano.
The burglaries began in November with several burglaries in Harrison Counties. Others have occurred in other parts of the county, as well as in Doddridge, Lewis, and Barbour Counties.
"There's still some work to do, and there's still several firearms out there we need to recover yet," said Marano.
"I'm gonna make a plea to the public: if the public has purchased any of these items, such as firearms, jewelries in the last three months or so, that they thought was a good deal and bought it off an individual, it would be advantageous for them to come and see us than us have to come see them and hunt them down," said Marano.
Marano said the investigation is a joint effort between the Harrison County Sheriff's Department and state police. Those involved include Sgt. Osbourne, Sgt. Petrosky, Lt. McCarty, Sgt. Waybright, Deputy Cumberledge, Deputy Napier, and Deputy Diaz of the sheriff's department; TFC Bailey, Cpl. Anderson, Cpl. Swiger, Cpl. Waggamon, and Cpl. Chamber of the state police.
