A Marion County woman was arrested Wednesday on child abuse charges.
State Police said Anita Honeycutt, 35, of Mannington beat a juvenile family member with a belt until it left bruises on her body.
Police said the bruises were still visible five days later.
When questioned, Honeycutt admitted to causing the bruises but claimed she did nothing wrong.
She was released from custody after posting a $50,000 cash or surety bond.
