The Morgantown Police Department found two suspects that robbed a man on Dayton Avenue on Jan. 26, 2014. The victim said he had been assaulted by two black males and they stole his backpack, laptop, cell phone, and wallet. The suspects fled the scene prior to the arrival of the responding officers.
On February 7, 2014, the Morgantown Police Department served a search warrant at 236 Glen Abbey Lane in Morgantown and recovered several items that were stolen during the robbery.
Zakariye Mohomud Mohamad,18, was arrested and charged with robbery in the first degree and conspiracy. He is being held on a $35,000 bond at the North Central Regional Jail.
The second suspect in the case has been identified as a juvenile and juvenile petitions are being sought at this time, said a news release from the Morgantown Police Department.

The victim told police two men followed him as he walked onto Dayton Avenue.
The two men then tackled him to the ground and kicked and punched him repeatedly.
They then stole the victim's backpack, laptop, cell phone, and wallet, according to a press release. The men fled on foot.
The victim said the suspects were two black males. One was wearing a red, multi-colored jacket and the other was wearing a gray and black jacket.
