A warm bowl of chili may seem like the perfect remedy for a cold winter's day like Saturday. Hundreds of people were able to get that bowl at Triple S Harley's annual Chili Cook off at its new location off of Interstate 79.
The event had live music, baked goods and of course chili.
All of the proceeds raised from the event went to Operation Welcome Home in Mylan Park. It totaled more than $1,400.
There was also a new addition at this year's cook off.
"This year we added into the Chili Cook Off a new division for non-profits," said Jennifer Shuttleworth from Triple S Harley. "And the winner of the non-profits gets $500 for their organization. And Operation Welcome Home is also participating in that."
Pet Helpers and Mountaineer Hog also participated in the non-profit section. The Sgt. Michael Todd May Memorial Scholarship Fund won the non-profit section and took the $500 grand prize home for the organization.
