Shelters across the area are ensuring that the homeless have a place to go during the cold, snowy days.
The Union Mission in Fairmont is one of those places.
It is continuing to provide a warm place for the homeless throughout the next few days of bad weather by allowing residents to stay inside and providing them with warm meals and blankets.
Director George Batten said the mission will never send the homeless outside during inclement weather.
Batten said if the temperature is below freezing or even too hot, the homeless can stay in the building during the day.
The Mission said if they do decide to stay, they would like the homeless to participate in everything that is going on around the facility.
