An area hospital is using a new tool to help patients.
Davis Medical Center is using a new system for CAT scans that exposes patients to less radiation.
The software also gets clearer images than other systems.
The hospital has been using the system since late last year, and staff said it's exciting to have the state-of-the-art technology here.
"The fact that we're getting a program that was a big deal when the University of Michigan got it, and we're getting it here in Elkins, West Virginia less than four months after they had it in Ann Arbor, Michigan is a beautiful thing," said DMC's Dr. Alex Brown.
Brown said Davis Medical Center is one of the first hospitals in the state to use the technology.
