In a few months it will be time to put on your superhero cape.
"Every child needs a hero, but abused children need superheroes," is the motto for this year's CASA Superhero 5K.
CASA programs from Harrison, Marion, Monongalia, and Preston counties collaborate for the race.
Organizers ask runners to dress as superheros.
"We'll have some costume judging also going on. We want them to dress up as a superhero showing that they are a champion for children. It's a really kind of a neat partnership we have going on. We have a cause behind our 5K," said Kim Baker, CASA of Marion County.
The race happens toward the end of April, but registration is going on now.
