City of Morgantown Enlists Help From Public in 'Re-Branding' Process

Posted: Updated:

There are certain things you can expect when you go to Morgantown, but some of those things might be changing.

The city is going through a "re-branding" phase.

The City Manager is talking to consultants about everything from changing font texts to the 'welcome' sign.

"The image, the look, the marketing ability of the City of Morgantown. In the past we've used a generic "M" for our symbol, and by default we've always been known as the home of West Virginia University, but there are far more things going on in the city," said Jeff Mikorski, the Morgantown City Manager.

City officials will meet with residents and business leaders at City Hall next Thursday, January 23 to get their ideas. The meeting begins at 5 p.m. and all are welcome.

If you want to join the conversation, follow the City of Morgantown's Twitter page @Morgantown_WV and use the hashtag, #MorgantownSlogans to share your ideas.
