A gas spill shut down a Morgantown gas station for more than four hours this morning.
A tanker making a delivery to the Shell Station on University Avenue sideswiped a gas pump and tore off two valves from the bottom of the truck.
The secondary safety valve was not closed, and gasoline leaked onto the parking lot.
The Morgantown Fire Department used almost 40 bags of clay absorbent to clean up the spill.
An environmental clean up company disposed of the material.
