Emergency responders in Barbour County held a fundraiser for area children Saturday night.
The Belington Police Department hosted a charity basketball game between the Barbour County Police Department and several fire crews at Philip Barbour High School.
All proceeds from the event will support the Belington Police Department's annual 'Shop with a Cop' event.
Organizers are hoping to raise enough money so they are able to shop with one student from all nine Barbour County schools.
"Hopefully we do much more than that. Right here is what it's all about, these kids right here," said Chief D.J. Harris, Belington Police Department. "That's what we're out here for, we're having fun and being part of our community. That's our focus."
More than $1 thousand was raised from area sponsors before the game even tipped off.
