A Harrison County home was destroyed Friday night because of a structure fire.
Crews responded to a fire on Hanover Street in East View around 7:30 p.m. Friday night.
Nutter Fort Volunteer Fire Chief, Jeremy Haddix, said the front room and porch was on fire when crews arrived on scene.
Haddix said a woman and her two children heard an explosion in the front bedroom and they believe that's where the fire started.
Everyone made it out of the home safely and uninjured.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and Haddix said the State Fire Marshal may be called in to investigate.
Anmoore, Nutter Fort, and Stonewood Volunteer Fire Departments all responded to the scene.
The home is considered a total loss and everything inside has been destroyed.
A friend of the family, Brad Matheney, said he is collecting donations. He told 12News the family is in desperate need of everything.
