Small Business Saturday may have wrapped up, but the Bridgeport Conference Center is helping local vendors sell their products all year round.
The Bridgeport Holiday Market kicked off for the season Sunday afternoon, where dozens of those who participate in the summer's Farmers Market set up shop indoors.
The event also included a special market brunch using local market products. Both vendors and organizers said it's perfect for holiday shoppers.
"It's been a success. As you can see here today, there's been a lot of folks out. We've had probably an excess of 20-25 vendors today, and a waiting list even. So that shows that there's an interest," said Scott Duarte, the general manager of the Bridgeport Conference Center and is on the board of directors for the Bridgeport Farmers Market.
"The winter one, this is our first time, so we bring out our Christmas wooden ornaments, and we like supporting the local farmers market as vendors, and then we also buy from the other folks. We believe in supporting small businesses, and we hope that other people will support ours," said Chris Hoke, owner of the Rising Moon Farm.
The market will be held on the first Sunday of every month throughout the winter at the Bridgeport Conference Center. For more information, visit its Facebook page.
