White Hall Police have arrested a West Milford man accused of the armed robbery of a Little General store on Nov. 23.
John Soloman Banish, 18, is accused of backing into the Little General store parking lot, entering the store, and pointing a gun at the clerk. Banish demanded the clerk give him all the money in the cash register before leaving and heading south on Rt. 250, according to a criminal complaint. Banish got away with approximately $97, said police.
Banish is being held in North Central Regional Jail on $100,000 bail.
Police are looking for a man who robbed the Little General Store in White Hall at gunpoint early Sunday morning. White Hall Police said it happened just before 3 a.m. at the Little General on Route 250.
Police said the man demanded cash while from an employee while holding them at gunpoint. The man was last seen wearing a green Carhartt hooded jacket, gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and a ski mask, according to police. The man is white and between 5'5'' and 5'7''.
Police said he is believed to be driving a white 2-door Oldsmobile Alero with aluminum wheels. His direction of travel was south from the Little General.
