The Elkins Police Department has arrested a man in connection to a stabbing at Central School Apartments Friday night.
Elkins Police charged James Wilson Falls III, 27 of Elkins, with malicious or unlawful assault. Elkins Police responded to a report of an altercation between two men. Police observed a stabbing victim who had suffered from a large stab wound to his left lower leg and two small puncture wounds on his abdomen, according to a criminal complaint. The man who had been stabbed told police that Falls had stabbed him and left the area. Two women said Falls came into their apartment, struck them, and threatened them with a knife. Falls became irate and started screaming at the women, according to a criminal complaint. After another Elkins Police officer arrived at the scene, Falls attempted to fight the officer and said he was going to, "kill you all, you all are dead and if I don't kill you, I know people who will."
Falls is being held in Tygart Valley Regional Jail with bail set at $35,000.
