The Interstate 79 Development Council looked down the road Thursday to new projects and future of the corridor.
The council is working on a new marketing strategy and partnering with the board of education to provide work sites for West Virginia students.
"I'm a parent, I'm a grandparent. That was the purpose I had on this from the beginning was we want to have our children be able to stay here if they want to do that and not have to leave to find these jobs. And that's what we're finally, 2014 we're going to be in the school systems and it really is wonderful," said Melanie Thompson, I-79 Development Council Chair.
The council also unveiled a new logo for the group.
