Veterans Day may be over but the West Virginia School of Dentistry proved you should honor the vets every day.
The school held the Red, White and Blue Day, a Salute to Service.
The assembly included a motivational talk from Jamie Summerlin.
Summerlin is known for his run across America in 100 Days. His wife is also a veteran and a graduate of the WVU School of Dentistry.
"Based on some things that were going on here, we wanted to do something that was inspirational for our students. As you heard his story, it was quite inspirational. So that was the connection and we invited him to come spend the afternoon with us, which he agreed to do. And it was great," said David Felton, of the WVU School of Dentistry.
The WVU ROTC also presented the colors and the school of dentistry choir sang the national anthem and other patriotic songs.
