Individuals and businesses are working to help baby Oakley Kirkpatrick, who remains at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Oakley was hospitalized days after birth with whooping cough.
Organizations like the Lewis County EMS and Jane Lew Fire Department are hosting fundraisers this month to help the family.
Others are selling T-shirts and wristbands.
Organizers said it's only possible thanks to the close-knit community.
"People step up. They just volunteer their time, their energy, into it, wanting to show that there's support here and love, and we just all just try to come together when something like this happens," said Becky Ryan, who is one of the people selling T-shirts and wristbands in the county.
There are multiple events planned for the family for the rest of the month.
The Bendale Community Church is hosting a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on November 15, the Jane Lew Fire Department is holding a Baked Steak Dinner from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on November 17, and the Lewis County EMS will hold an indoor yard sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on November 24.
