The Military Times named West Virginia University one of the top schools to be 'Best for Vets.'
The magazine asks universities and colleges to fill out questionnaires and be judged on their answers.
WVU is in the top 10 percent of more than 600 institutions across the U.S. that applied to be on the list.
"What really makes us hit the list is what everyone else does at the institution because everyone, most people, have a passion for helping those who have served and others who continue to serve. So, it's really them and not me that basically makes us make the list," said Jerry McCarthy, the WVU Director of Veteran Affairs.
Institutions on this list embrace student veterans, service members and their dependents.
This is the second year WVU made the list.
The magazine "G. I. Jobs" also named West Virginia University a "friendly military school" for the 5th year in a row.
