West Virginia State Auditor Glen Gainer has announced he will run for a seat in Congress.
Gainer met with supporters on Friday at the Bluebird in downtown Clarksburg.
Gainer discussed what goals he wants to achieve if he's elected and asked his supporters to help him campaign.
Gainer said he wants to help keep a balanced budget every year.
"The dysfunction and the inability for congress to pass a budget in five years has done nothing but harm every single West Virginian and every single American. I will not let that happen and I will work like the dickens to make sure that we pass a budget every year and we pass a balanced budget every year," explained Gainer.
Gainer also made a trip to Wheeling to meet with supporters there.
