The Kingwood detachment of the West Virginia State Police, assisted by the Alabama State Police, has located the missing 14-year-old girl who was reported as a runaway on Nov. 1 near Terra Alta.
Betty Jo Price was found unharmed on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at approximately 10:52 a.m. at a residence near Bessemer, Alabama following a joint investigation conducted by W.Va. State Police and Alabama State Police, according to a news release.
Kenneth Forsythe, 38 of Dunbar, Pa., was taken into custody in Alabama and is awaiting extradition to W.Va. to face a charge of concealment of a minor in connection with the incident, W.Va. State Police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
West Virginia State Police are currently attempting to locate a runaway juvenile who was last seen near the Terra Alta area.
Betty Jo Price, 14, was last seen at a residence on Afton Road near Terra Alta on Friday, November 1, according to state police.
Price is approximately five feet two inches tall and weighs approximately 120 lbs. Price is also described as having shoulder-length brown hair and green eyes, according to state police.
State Police said Price is possibly being accompanied by Kenneth Forsythe and the two are believed to be traveling in a 1995 Ford Ranger, black in color, with purple strips on the side. The vehicle bears Pennsylvania plates.
