The Monongalia County Sheriff's Department hosted a blood drive to honor Faith Marie.
Faith is a 2-year-old girl with a rare blood disorder that does not allow her to produce enough red and white blood cells and platelets.
Faith is the niece of Chief Ralph Wright at the Marion County Sheriff's Department.
Faith's mother works at the Monongalia County Sheriff's Department.
"You know, it was in the back of my mind about giving blood but until it happens to you and to someone close to you, it doesn't, it wakes you up that's what it does. And they all need our blood," said Sharon Lawson, Faith's mother.
The sheriff's department will hold another blood drive on November 8 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Call the sheriff's department at 304-291-7260 to make an appointment.
