Trick-or-Treaters Head Out for Halloween

Posted: Updated:

Morgantown was one of many cities in West Virginia to hold Trick-or-Treat on Halloween night, Thursday, October 31.

The streets in the Southpark neighborhood were filled with everything from zombies to princesses. The rain did not play a factor with dozens of trick or treaters heading house to house.

There are other Morgantown Halloween activities that will still be going on this weekend, including the Eat, Drink, & Be Scary Costume Party to benefit Make-A-Wish.

That takes place Friday, November 1 starting at 7 p.m. at Hotel Morgan.

The 8th Annual Dia de los Muertos Dinner at Richwood Grill is happening until November 2.

In Salem, not even the rain could keep parents and kids from trick-or-treating door to door in the neighborhoods.

Kids came out dressed in full costume to trick-or treat in the neighborhood. There was fun for all ages, with trick-or-treating at the Salem Center.

"We're going to have a great time. The kids are excited; I'm pretty excited to be walking around with them," said Alice Delaney, who took her kids out.

"I'm so excited; I love Halloween; I love getting dressed up for everybody to see my costume and everything," said Dorothy Woodruff.

The fun  wrapped up with a costume contest and a spooky party at the Salem Center.
