The Doddridge County Sheriffs Department offered a prescription drug give back on Saturday to local residents.
The sheriffs department offers the drug take back twice a year in both October and April. Deputies collect any medication that people leave around the house.
Medications collected are typically expired or the prescriptions are just not being used and people don't know how to get rid of them properly.
"We have a drop box at the Doddridge County Sheriffs department. Daily we take in prescriptions medications or again any medications that is left over at peoples residences that is being unused. To get it out of the homes and away from young children," said Tammy Satterfield, Doddridge County Sheriff's Deputy.
Deputy Satterfield said anyone can come to the sheriffs department to drop any unused or expired medicines. If you cant make it to the Sheriffs department, they will come and pick them up.
