The Jane Lew Lions Club is working to help keep area families fed this winter.
The club is collecting donations of canned food at its meetings this month.
After all the food is collected, club president Ruth Straley said they'll split it between Our Neighbor in Weston and the Lewis County Family Resource Network.
Straley said she wants to be sure people stay full as the season gets colder.
"A lot of the food stamps people were receiving have been reduced in amount, and so here the winter time is and the holiday is coming. We collected a whole bunch last time," Straley said.
Tuesday, October 22 is the last night they'll collect food this month, but Straley said the Lions are looking to hold another drive next year.
