The Harrison County Sheriff's Department said five people were taken to area hospitals following an accident that occurred on Route 19 in Harrison County on Saturday.
Shawna Pignanelli, 31, of Jane Lew, Joseph Bell, 21 of the Lost Creek area, and Jessica Winters are all in fair condition at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Randall Lucas, 19, of the Grafton area was treated and released from Ruby Memorial Hospital. Shaquille Shelton, 20, of Clarksburg, is believed to have received minor injuries and was treated at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.
The investigation into what caused the crash is ongoing.
Three people were flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital, and one more was taken by ambulance to United Hospital Center, after a single-vehicle accident in Harrison County on Saturday.
It happened around 10:40 p.m. on Route 19 South near Laurel Park Road, according to 911 officials.
The sheriff's department said the car went over an embankment near a body of water and rolled a few times, but did not go in the water.
Deputies said those involved are young adults and that narcotics may have been involved.
Speed may have also been a factor, according to deputies., who said the driver may have lost control.
