Longtime banker Mitch Farrar has joined First Sentry Bank as vice president, quality control.
Farrar, who has more than 26 years of experience in the financial service industry in the area, had spent the last 13 years as a vice president with BB&T.
He is an active volunteer with Barboursville youth sports and serves on the board of directors of the Huntington City Mission.
A native of Huntington, he is a graduate of Marshall University.
First Sentry is a wholly owned subsidiary of First Sentry Bancshares Inc., which is headquartered in Huntington and also has offices in Barboursville and Hamlin.
