Mon General Hospital had some 'Gelato with Giotto' Friday.
Giotto is the newest addition to the cancer screening process at the hospital.
The machine is only one of five in the United States.
It allows for more comfortable patient position and a less invasive biopsy process.
"The imaging table that we use for biopsy now has digital imaging quality, the best image quality for mammography. That is also combined with the instruments ability to work its way around the patient in the best way possible so that all patients can have the benefit of digital imaging," said Fred Gabriele, a MGM Diagnostic Radiologist.
Most of the treatments take only one day now and require no down time in the hospital.
