A new tool designed for students enrolled in education courses is being used at Davis & Elkins College. It's called LiveText.
It's an online software application that allows students to assess and document their efforts, store and manage academic files, and showcase their work to prospective employers or admission officers.
"And now just using live text its all right there for every little lesson plan for these students starting out as freshman. There going to have everything in one place showing them this is how I've progressed since I was freshman to since I'm student teaching," said Penni Harris, a senior at Davis & Elkins College.
Davis & Elkins College chose LiveText because of the opportunities it gives students to create and maintain a professional portfolio after graduation.
