Water spilled into a third floor classroom and made its way to a first floor computer lab.
The Marion County Board of Education recently approved the emergency removal of asbestos from the third floor classroom.
Students are in another classroom, and Superintendent Gary Price said the situation is under control.
"There was some limited amount of asbestos in the ceiling material that we are going to have all of that abated out of the room. Some of the floor tiles that got wet and came up from the floor were also asbestos tiles and we are also going to have those abated and removed," Price said.
Price said it will cost nearly $9,000, and will be finished in a couple months.
