Registered nurse and midwife Carol Decker has returned to the Women's Health Services of Shenandoah Valley Medical System. She is seeing both gynecologic and obstetric patients at her office at 99 Tavern Rd. in Martinsburg and also will offer hospital deliveries at Berkeley Medical Center.
Decker has a Master of Science degree in nursing and nurse midwifery from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Va. She also earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from University of Maryland, Baltimore and an associate's degree in Nursing from then — Shepherd College.
She was employed by Women's Health Services from 2006 to 2008 before relocating to Wisconsin. She said she is excited to be back in the Eastern Panhandle.
"I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to return to Shenandoah Women's Health as a midwife," she said. "I feel very fortunate to be here – at what feels like home – and to have the privilege of caring for the families in our community."
