Marion County Commission has acquired the Law Tower on Adams Street in Fairmont.
The Law Tower houses the Day Reports Center, which sees nearly 100 people a day.
The Commission said it's important that the Day Reports Center has room and is making necessary renovations to make that happen.
"It is an alternate form of people having to do their time in jail by reporting every day. It saves tax payers a lot of money, approximately $50 a day for everybody that's housed in the regional jail; this works. It's been encouraged by our attorneys and encouraged by our judges," said Randy Elliot, of the Marion County Commission.
The commission will begin to expand the office space for the employees within the coming weeks.
