Agents from the Mon Valley Drug Task Force obtained and executed a search warrant for a residence located on Maczko Lane, off Tyrone Road, in Monongalia County September 27.
The search warrant was obtained and executed in relation to drug activity involving suspected methamphetamine and the manufacture of methamphetamine, according to a news release from the Mon Valley Drug Task Force.
An active meth lab was not found at the time that the search warrant was executed, but officials said some items of interest were processed and collected at the residence.
Five men were found to be residing at the residence. All have been identified but their names are being withheld at this time, according to the news release.
The investigation is ongoing and any criminal proceedings will be reviewed and directed by the Monongalia County Prosecutor's Office, according to the news release.
The Monongalia County Sheriff's Department, members of the Monongalia County Sheriff's Department Special Response Team along with agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bridgeport Police Department, and the Fairmont Police Department all assisted with the execution of the search warrant.
Several other agencies, including Monongalia County EMS, the Brookhaven Fire Department, the Monongalia County Hazardous Incident Response Team, and members of the Department of Environmental Protection also responded.
