Students in Upshur County learned about energy Wednesday.
The Future Educators Association chapter at Buckhannon Upshur High School hosted its second annual energy day at Buckhannon Upshur Middle School.
The FEA students developed eight curriculum lessons focusing on different elements of energy as part of a competition among middle school students.
Organizers said the event will help future educators learn to work with future students.
"Even though we're teaching middle school it still works because it shows like how you need to work with the kids, and when you have the slightest planned one way it can turn just like that so it teach us as much as it teaches them," said Brianna White, of the Future Educators Association.
The students spent about 15 minutes at different stations.
The three day event will wrap up on Friday, with a fun day planned for the entire middle school.
