Project SLB is a non-profit organization that focuses awareness to suicide and substance abuse prevention.
Tricia and Michael Kyer created Project SLB after their 19-year-old son Sonny Lynn Blosser committed suicide in 2011.
Sonny's family and friends have dedicated their lives to educating the public about suicide and drug use, so something like this won't happen to other people.
Jennifer Powell lost three friends to suicide. Two of them just days apart. She said it was important to her to get involved in Project SLB.
"I never want to lose another friend. I never want to lose another person and I know they don't want to lose a child," she said. "It's important to me because I don't want to see anybody go through what I went through or what they went through because its sad."
The organization hosts and conducts several fundraising events throughout the year. One of its biggest is the annual 'Walk for Suicide Prevention'.
Project SLB will host a "Jammin Under the Sonn" event on Saturday at Palatine Park in Fairmont.
There will be live music and food, as well as informational booths about suicide and drug addiction.
Some of the bands include The Comeback Year, Ronnie Palmer, Elav8 Nation, and many more.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.,
It is free for kids 12 and under, $5 for ages 13-17, and $10 for adults.
