The Morgantown based Ground Zero Fighting Systems is the 2013 Jiu-Jitsu at this year's West Virginia State Games.
The competition was held August 19 in Charleston.
It's the third time in four years Ground Zero has won the title. Fourteen team members won individuals titles including three that won youth titles.
Ground Zero coaches said winning the title shows them that they're teaching their students the right way.
"They know how to defend themselves, at the same time they can go to a competition and take home first place. So they really know what they're doing, so it makes us feel like what we're teaching is worth their time and effort," said Josh Fowler of Ground Zero Fighting Systems.
GZFS has won in 2010, 2011 and 2013. The team is based out of Morgantown with affiliates in Bridgeport and Wheeling.
The team will be hosting the West Virginia Combat Championships November 16, at their training center in the Morgantown Mall.
The competition will include amateur boxing, grappling, boxing and stick fighting.
The individual champions include:
Andrew Shelek (Youth)
Chance Burkle (Youth)
Colton Reel (Youth)
