Rowlesburg is home to a lot of famous events like the Chestnut Festival and the Rowlesburg Volunteer Fire Department's Labor Day Weekend Festival being held this weekend.
The event includes many different activities each year.
This year, guests can visit the ambulance building and check out a train display from the Mon Valley Historical Society. There is also the opportunity to take tours of the town and see historical locations.
There is also live performances of music and even monster truck shows.
"We're going to have a wheeley competition between both trucks, me and RB Moler. Of course I'm going to win, because I'm a girl," said Chrissy Moler, driver of Triple X State of Destruction for Mountaineer Motor Sports. "And then we're going to have racing, we're going to do best out of three straight line racing, and then we're going to have free style which is the best part. Where you crush cars and try to keep it on all four wheels."
Mountaineer Motor Sports will be putting on shows Sunday, Sept. 1 and Monday, Sept. 2 at 2 p.m., and giving rides in the trucks Saturday, Sunday and Labor Day evenings.
The annual volunteer fire department Labor Day Ox Roast will be on Monday, Sept. 2 in the Rowlesburg Park.
