Davis and Elkins College has set its schedule for fall community education courses.
The roster includes its largest line-up with 34 non-credit evening classes for adults and youth.
Some of the course topics include creative arts, healthy lifestyles, cooking, technology, professional development, travel, culture and sport.
One creative arts class called Opera and the Magic Flute includes a trip to the Pittsburgh Opera.
Some classes span the entire session, while others are brief one to three day meetings.
D&E said the courses are a way to connect with the community.
"I think it was a regional need, and I think makes connections with our community, and other community educators. We have several of our teachers that our teaching community ed that are from the Elkins area, and not necessarily employed by Davis and Elkins College. Just making more of that connection," said Elizabeth Marshall-Macvean, of Davis and Elkins College.
Some classes are offered for free, including two, one-session professional development courses, Resume and Employment Letter Basics and Self Presentation Fundamentals- Interviewing for Success.
Next week, 10 classes will start.
