West Virginia State Police arrested a man on multiple sex-related charges Wednesday.
Michael Anacker, 54, was arrested and charged with 12 counts of distributing and exhibiting of materials depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
On August 1, 13 images of child pornography were downloaded and viewed at a public computer at the Randolph County Public Library, according to the criminal complaint. On August 6, State Police received a complaint about the images from the State of W.Va. Office of Technology, which monitors state computer systems for any illegal activity.
State Police were able to obtain the computer time sign up sheet from the library and discovered that Anacker signed in for approximately 45 minutes on the computer. The criminal complaint indicates that the images were downloaded between 7:04 p.m. and 7:40 p.m. on August 1.
Anacker is currently in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail with bail set at $100,000.
