Delegate Peggy Donaldson Smith, D-Lewis County, was in Weston Thursday to hand out thousands in grants from the state.
Smith was joined by state Senators Sam Cann and Doug Facemire.
They presented three community participation grants at the Mountaineer Military Museum.
The Museum received $2,500 to continue work on its addition.
The city of Weston and its American Legion Post each received $3,000 for needed work.
Smith said she's glad the money will be put to good use.
"If we don't get the money, it's going to go to some other county, so it's such a pleasure to bring money to Lewis County to showcase the wonderful things we have here," Delegate Smith said.
Smith, Cann, and Facemire also presented a $10,000 grant to add security lighting to Roanoke Elementary School.
