The former P.J. Kelly's in Clarksburg has reopened with a new name, Kelly's Irish Pub and Grill.
Matt and Tia Policano, and Brian Oliverio took over ownership of the restaurant, which has been around since 1971.
It held a grand opening Monday and showed off its remodeled dining area and expanded menu.
You'll find Kelly's Irish Pub and Grille on Third Street in Clarksburg.
P.J. Kelly's has been a part of the Clarksburg downtown scene for more than 30 years.
The owner of P.J. Kelly's recently sold the business to Briana Oliverio, and Matt and Tia Policano.
The three are now re-opening the business as Kelly's Irish Pub and Grill.
The owners said it will remain pretty much the same, just with a few upgrades.
"We're doing a little bit of remodeling, fresh paint; we're taking part of a wall down so the space will open up a little bit more. The menu is a little simpler, but we'll still have great food and great drinks," explained Tia Policano, one of the owners.
The owners of Kelly's Irish Pub and Grill hope to bring in the business men and women from downtown Clarksburg.
"We're really trying to promote a happy hour, and for the business people of Clarksburg provide them somewhere to eat lunch, quick but good food," said Oliverio.
Oliverio said Kelly's Irish Pub and Grill will still have some of the elements regulars of P.J. Kelly's enjoyed.
"We'll definitely still have the live music during the week and on the weekends at night," Oliverio explained.
Kelly's Irish Pub and Grill hopes to be open by next week and have everything running smoothly for the Italian Heritage Festival.
