Soon West Virginia University students will be flooding the streets of Morgantown. And they might notice that a few things have changed over the summer.
That is why the City of Morgantown released the "8 Things You Need to Know When Returning to Morgantown."
The list includes everything from new parking meters to the streetscape project. The city said it anticipates the roundabout will be a major change.
"When visitors come into town for the football games, and they come in through the Mileground and head to the stadium, and they'll hit this roundabout," said Susan Sullivan, the Public Communication Manager for the City of Morgantown. "At some point during the first week here everybody is going to hit that roundabout. As long as you wait for the traffic inside to clear, enter, and exit whatever exit. You'll find it's a lot easier than you anticipate."
Some other things that are going to change for this year will be the trash and recycling program and High Street paving.
Most of the projects will be a permanent change and are expected to finish up this fall.
The full list of the eight things to know before students and residents head back to Morgantown is on the City of Morgantown's website.
