One person was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown after an accident in Harrison County Wednesday morning, according to 911 officials.
Two vehicles collided head-on, officials said.
The collision happened just before 11 a.m. on Route 19 near West Milford, the Harrison County 911 log said.
The extent of the injuries to the person flown to the hospital is unknown.
It's also unknown if anyone else was injured.
No cause for the accident has been given. West Virginia State Police are investigating the accident.
Route 19 had to be shut down for a time while the accident scene was cleaned up. Division of Highways workers helped with traffic control.
The West Milford Volunteer Fire Department, Harrison County EMS and Anmoore EMS all responded to the scene.
A HealthNet helicopter flew the victim to the hospital.
This was the second major accident reported on Wednesday morning. Earlier in the morning, three people were killed and two were injured in another head-on collision, in Tucker County. You can read more about that accident here.
