The Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston will be taking people back to its founding this month.
It will host its first Civil War Weekend on August 17 and 18.
The event will include demonstrations and various reenactments, including recreations of court cases, and the first baseball game ever played on the asylum's lawn.
Organizers said having the period location only adds to the event.
"I think the one thing that makes everything we do here different from everywhere else is that you've got a 155-year-old asylum behind it, and I think that just makes everything a little bit more fun," said Rebecca Jordan Gleason, of the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum.
The asylum is still looking for actors and reenactors for the weekend. If you'd like to participate, call 304-269-5070 for more information.
