The Pacific Atlantic Cycling Tour made a stop in Weston on Sunday in front of the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum.
The PAC is a bicycle tour that hosts cross country bike tours a few times a year.
The Northern Transcontinental Cross Country tour goes from Everett, Washington to Williamsburg, Virginia. That's the tour that stopped in Weston on Sunday.
The PAC tour website describes this tour as a scenic ride that includes both mountains and flatlands.
More than forty riders were traveling from Parkersburg to Elkins on Sunday and the group stopped in Weston for lunch.
The cyclists travel an average of 115 miles per day, and it only takes 32 days to get from the West to East coast.
The group will travel 3,578 miles by the end of the adventure.
The youngest rider in the current group is 16, and the oldest is 74.
There were a few riders from Australia.
The trip will end in Virginia on Wednesday.
The PAC offers many different tours in addition to the Northern Transcontinental Tour. These include the Arizona Desert Camp tour, the Southern Transcontinental, Pedal Across Peru, and the Elite Tour.
The website describes the Elite Tour as the toughest two week tour in the world. This tour goes from San Diego to Tybee Island, Georgia.
