A Clarksburg man accused of brutally beating a woman and leaving her near the Anmoore Post Office in Oct. of 2012 appeared in Harrison County Court Friday.

Anthony Cartagena, 23, appeared before Judge James Matish for a pretrial hearing. The judge addressed a motion from the state to continue the trial to allow DNA testing to be completed.

The trial will be continued until November. A grand jury indicted Cartagena in May on one count of first degree sexual assault, one count of first degree robbery, one count of assault during the commission of a felony and one count of attempting to commit first degree murder.

Cartagena remains in North Central Jail on $200,000 bail.
